Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
ListingLens is a Chrome extension that audits and scores the Amazon product listing you are viewing. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles. The short version: the listings you audit are scored entirely on your device and are never sent to us.
What stays on your device
- The listing's on-page content. When you run an audit, ListingLens reads the current Amazon product page's own content (title, bullet points, description, A+ content, images, rating and review counts) from your browser and scores it locally. We never receive, store, or transmit the listings or pages you audit.
- Image analysis happens locally. To check whether the main product image uses a compliant pure-white background, the extension fetches that image from Amazon's image CDN (
m.media-amazon.com) and analyzes its pixels in an OffscreenCanvas on your device. The image is processed in your browser and is never uploaded to us. - Local settings. Your Pro license token (if activated), an optional report brand name, and local preferences are stored in your browser's local storage on your device.
Network requests
- Product images are fetched from Amazon. The image request above goes to Amazon's own CDN, not to us. We do not receive it.
- License validation contacts our server. For Pro users, when the extension activates or periodically re-checks a license, it sends to our licensing service (operated on Cloudflare) only your license token and the product name ("listinglens"). No page content, listing data, or browsing history is ever transmitted, and the free version never sends anything to our server.
Purchases
Payments for ListingLens Pro are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record and is the data controller for your payment information. We do not see or store your card details. From a completed purchase we receive your email address and a transaction identifier, which we use to issue your license and provide support. See Paddle's privacy policy.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to ListingLens's core function.
- We do not include third-party analytics or tracking in the extension.
ListingLens's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store Limited Use requirements.
Permissions
- storage — stores your Pro license token and report-brand setting locally on your device.
- Access to amazon.com pages — lets the extension read the listing you are viewing so it can score it.
- Access to m.media-amazon.com — lets the extension fetch the product image to analyze its background locally.
- Access to license.vietcodex.dev — lets the extension verify your Pro license.
Data retention & your rights
Local data is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear its storage. License records (purchase email, transaction id, license token) are kept while the license is active. To request access to or deletion of your license data, email us.
